Route 4: Nepal Bus Simulator, at bsn.ekendraonline.com. Last updated 4 October 2026.
Route 4 is a browser game made by Ekendra Lamsal as a personal project. You can play it without giving any personal information. This page says what the game keeps, where, and how to remove it.
On your device
The game saves these in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device unless the sections below say so.
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Settings | Route, controls, graphics, weather and other choices |
| Your stats and personal bests | The Stats panel and the "New best" message |
| Install prompt state | So the install card does not keep asking |
| Your profile key (only if you make a profile) | A random secret that shows the server this device is you |
| A finished shift waiting for a profile (up to one hour) | So a score played just before you pick a nickname is not lost |
The installed app also keeps a copy of the game files so it works offline. Clearing your browser's site data removes all of this.
Play counts
When a shift starts and ends, the game adds one to a counter for that route and day. Nothing about you or your device is attached. You can turn this off in Settings ("Add my shifts to the public play counts").
Profiles and leaderboards (optional)
If you pick a nickname, the server stores:
- your nickname, when the profile was made and last used, and how many shifts you posted
- a one-way hash of each device key (the keys themselves are never stored)
- each finished shift you post: route, score, whether you finished, time, passengers, fares, fines, ride comfort, damage, distance, game version and date
Your nickname and shift results are public: they appear on the leaderboards and on your profile page, which anyone with the link can open. Choose a nickname that does not identify you if you prefer to stay anonymous.
Sign in with Google (optional)
If you choose to link a Google account to your profile, Google confirms who you are and sends the game your Google account ID, email address and name. The server stores these with your profile:
- the Google account ID, so you can get your profile back on any device by signing in
- your Google email address and name, which only the game's admin (Ekendra Lamsal) can see, on a private admin page. They are never shown on the leaderboards, on profile pages or to other players. They are used to look after the leaderboards (for example, to check who is behind a suspicious score) and, rarely, to contact you about your profile.
The game never sees your Google password or photo, and never sends you marketing. Unlinking Google in the profile panel, or deleting your profile, removes the Google account ID, email address and name from the server. Google's own privacy policy applies to the sign-in itself.
What is not collected
- No ads, no analytics, no tracking cookies
- No phone number or location, and no email address or real name unless you link a Google account (see above)
- No IP addresses are stored. To stop abuse, the server counts requests per minute using a one-way hash of the address and the date, and deletes these counts within minutes.
Services the game uses
- Cloudflare hosts the site, the server and the database.
- Fonts come from Google Fonts, and the 3D library from cdnjs (run by Cloudflare). Your browser connects to them to download these files, so they see your IP address, as for any website.
- Map data for the Siddhartha Highway comes from OpenStreetMap and is built into the game. Playing does not contact OpenStreetMap.
Deleting your data
In the game, open Stats, then Leaderboards, then Delete profile. This removes your profile, all your posted shifts and any linked sign-in from the server at once, and signs out every device. Stats on your device can be cleared from the Stats panel, or by clearing the site's data in your browser.
Children
The game is suitable for all ages and does not ask for personal information. Profiles need only a nickname, and linking a Google account is optional.
Changes and contact
If this page changes, the date at the top changes too. For questions, or to ask for data to be removed, contact Ekendra Lamsal through EkendraOnLine.com. See also the terms of use.
